These sweet somethings are best for kid's tiffins for short breaks,as they can be stored for nearly a month.they can even be carried to long tours,as they are liked by children and adults alike.





  • Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour (maida)
  • 2 table spoon oil or ghee
  • pinch of salt 
  • water
  • oil for deep frying
  • thick sugar syrup(like the syrup used in gulab jamuns)

Mix the flour ,salt and ghee

check that the mixture comes together like this when pressed 

make  a hard dough by sprinkling water,leave to rest for an hour

roll out this oblong shape

cut out a line with a knife

cut out more lines

start folding

again

and again
strech the two ends

press the two ends

fry in small batches in medium hot oil

fry on both sides

they should look like this,reddish or pinkish
fry and keep ready
                                     
heat the syrup and keep ready

dip them one by one with tongs




place them spread out,they should not be in contact
serve when they come down to room temperature



This can be stored in an airtight container and stored for weeks
