Paneer Cheesy

Paneer is an all time favourite in my home,any form of it is loved,  so I decided to try out this new version of paneer,without cashew nuts or cream this time and still managed to get a silky smooth gravy,read carefully to look for the magic ingredient!





Serves four people

Ingredients
  • onion-2 medium
  • tomatoes-3 medium
  • paneer_250 to 300 grams
  • ginger garlic paste-2 teaspoon
  • coriander powder-2 teaspoon
  • chili powder -1 teaspoon
  • kashmiri mirchi-1 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder-1 teaspoon
  • salt-as per taste
  • sugar-1 teaspoon
  • wheat flour-1 teaspoon
  • coriander leaves-chopped
  • cheese slices -2
  • 3 cloves,3cardamom,1 inch of Cinnamon
  • water as required for gravy


boil the onions and the tomatoes

peel the tomatoes and get the ingredients ready

sugar and wheat flour ,the forgotten ingredients



grind the onion and tomatoes separately,add the cloves ,cardamom ,and Cinnamon while grinding the tomatoes

here is the paneer

sprinkle salt and turmeric on the paneer

shallow fry the pieces without breaking

this is how they look like after frying
Start the gravy

add onion ,ginger garlic paste ,salt and turmeric


saute for sometime




add the tomato puree ,and the coriander ,kashmiri chili and chili powder on it

let it simmer in low flame

till oil oozes out

add the wheat flour to the water you intend to put for the gravy

add in the water for the gravy

coriander leaves


put in the cheese slices

allow the cheese to melt and switch off the flame


allow some standing time by switching off the flame and covering the pan,this enhances the flavours

ready to be served
